Little Everything (Music – Robb McCormick, Lyrics – Ed McGee)
We watched the lava seep into the sea,
A tongue of fire lapping up the foam.
Soon the mountain will expire,
But leave a cooling path of obsidian home.
We climb the shiny magma to the sky
And run ‘round the smoky jagged ring,
Dive into the smoldering heart
Where a voice once dormant now can sing.
I see her dance in falling ash
And with volcanic thunder sing.
In darkness sparkling like some prehistoric Spring,
She’s my little everything.
Days will come when oceans turn to ice
And rainforests wither to skeletal remains.
All God’s creatures hide themselves away
And the moon is camouflaged by ozone stains.
But deep, deep down our fire,
For years amazingly patient heat,
Will rise until Heaven burns so bright
Even Hell cools in defeat.
I see her dance in falling ash
And with volcanic thunder sing.
In darkness sparkling like some prehistoric Spring,
She’s my little everything.
