Armageddon  (Music - Mike Iannicello, Lyrics - Ed McGee)

Just got back from the Armageddon,
Couldn’t stay long, but I poked my head in
Just to put an end to the endless dreading,
All in all, it was a lovely wedding.
They poured the wine,
We drank a toast
To the father, son,
And some other ghosts.
‘Speak ye now,’
said the priest,
‘or forevermore
hold your peace.’

So this fire rages in my molten core
And I’ve never been afraid of what I’m hoping for
And I could really speak, but I decide
To hold my peace and fire inside.

Don’t know how I got here, but I won’t look back,
Somewhere down the line, I musta jumped the track.
I been going on faith since the sky turned black,
My eyes are kinda weary, but my vision’s intact.
I walked for miles
In someone’s shoes,
I packed the load
And lit the fuse.
Behind me now
The bridges burn,
After the end,
One more turn.

Just got back from the Armageddon,
Couldn’t stay long, but I poked my head in.
It’s hard to think I’ll find a more beautiful bride,
But I’m walking with peace and fire inside.
